PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST
Job Description
This is the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
a)Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
i.Dispensing compound medicine;
ii.Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients
iii.Ordering and recording of drugs and other supplies;
iv.Verifying and maintaining records relating to patients;
v.Custody and storing of drugs;
vi.Ensuring that the working environment meets the stipulated requirements;
b)Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i.Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
ii.Registration Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons board;
iii.Proficiency in computer application; and
iv.Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
